The Correlation between Foreign Language Apprehension and Foreign Language Gaiety and their Impacts on the Ideal L2 Self for EFL Learners

As evidenced by recent studies in the fields of positive psychology and psycholinguistics, learners’ emotions thoughts while learning a second language are believed to generate sophisticated dynamic linkages that contribute their motivational as well linguistic outcomes. This study aims evaluate foreign gaiety (FLG) apprehension (FLA) determinants ideal (L2) self for Saudi EFL learners. The basic research question this attempts answer is: “What is impact EL elation on PSAU L2 self?” An online survey incorporating three scales was completed 116 male female students at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University (PSAU) College Science Humanities (CSH). To examine reliability study, Cronbach Alpha value ≥ 0.70 regarded reliable acceptable. results showed strong correlation between EF Gaiety self. Further, there negative FL Apprehension concluded learners do not enjoy studying English language. Their tremendously affected high rates low degrees gaiety.
